Interesting pairing, 92134 and 6023 on 16:02 service ex-Grosmont, with 9F possibly coming off at Goathland. 17MT?

That'll be a good work out for the 9F pulling the "Swindon Sieve" and its train up the 1 in 49. :)

Unfortunately, I have to agree that this was not the best thing to do.

Excellent gala so far riding and taking photos, and pleased to see 92134. But having hiked to Water Ark to see the S160, and then Esk Valley for 6023, for both to be in great sun and the slab end of the 9F was not ideal!

Cracking day Friday despite some of the weather. The term 'tinned sardines' could be considered an understatement on the trains today, also I've never seen so many people at Grosmont this afternoon !

92134 has arrived at Pickering, and taken a spin on the turntable. Now on the back of train with the king, A4 on the front, all tender first and heading back to Grosmont.

S160 has failed at Goathland, fire has been dropped. K1 just arrived as thunderbird.

An absolute shambles. The star attraction of the event, carried the length of the country on two loaders, in the best light all day and they stuck the 9F in front of it tender first to obscure it.

If the 9F needed a bit of exercise, they could have spent a few more minutes marshalling at Grosmont and hung it on the back, then everybody would be happy.

Is 92134 out tomorrow, Sunday, covering for the S160 perhaps?

There was mention of it running tomorrow, but I don’t know which diagram.
The 9F was turned this evening so is now facing Pickering.

But would you want the 9F on the back of her first passenger train in preservation? The King had a run in the morning in sun and ran solo on Friday.

Then why produce a list of which engines are allocated to each train? A lot of people plan their day riding, photographing and videoing based on these allocations. Unless there is an operational necessity to change the diagrams then, in my view, don’t. I was also at Moorgates.
