The return of some old friends. Hope there are no plans to clean SKP before the gala, nice "in service look"

I'm (fortuitously) working in Poole on Friday 11th and hope to get across for a quick ride on a late afternoon service. If I just want to ride one trip from Corfe to the River Frome Bridge and back (that's all I'll have time for) am I obliged to buy a full day rover ticket, does anyone know?

Anyone coming by public transport worth bearing in mind the Sandbanks ferry is still out action. It may be quicker to go to Poole or Wareham and get the 40 (if you want to go to Norden or Corfe) or the 50 (non stop to Swanage from Poole) depending on your train times.
    https://www.morebus.co.uk/ferry
will give times for both routes if you follow the links.

T9 at Norden (loco only) when I came past just about to be off loaded from the low loader. I assume the tender had not arrived by then.

Was out yesterday. Biggest issue the crew reported was that they’d failed to pick up the storm sheet, and it absolutely lashed it down!

Hauled the 1240 service T &T with SKP, just returned and now disappeared from webcam view. I have not had time to get down the town today yet.

Just gone over to the Goods Shed Road pit for inspection underneath, then will go to Norden to pick up 73156. It steams well!

    News from the GCR.

''We’ve already said farewell to the T9 (thank you as always to National Railway Museum and Swanage Railway). Following right behind it down the motorway will be Standard 5 no. 73156 which will then be at Swanage for their coming gala and a short stay by the coast''.

With the predicted disappointing weather for the next seven days, the longer it stays the better. <BJ>

It would have been more interesting to see the T9 and Standard 5 double-heading down the motorway!!!!

Excellent day today, thank you to everyone involved. Trains were running pretty much to time (or at least they were when I left at ~3:30), the timetable seems to be a good balance of having plenty going on whilst being achievable (unlike last year). I suspect the weather probably had quite an effect on attendance figures, and sadly will continue to do so over the weekend by the looks of it.
