Details are up for the annual autumn steam gala:

    http://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/events-activities/2019/10/autumn-steam-gala.aspx

    Nice listing of loco's:

    30926
    60009
    34092
    80080
    80097
    44871
    52322
    2890

    Timetable without loco's is available:

    http://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/downloads/442/autumn-steam-gala-timetable-2019.ashx

It'll be interesting to see if any loco's face Heywood offering different shots. 60009 is already on site facing Rawtenstall, confirmed on another thread. Look forward to the unfamiliar sounds of the Schools barking up
    and down!

I was on the train Sunday, loco was 80080, so confirm this still faces North. Friend reports 80097 has been turned and now faces North but I haven't seen it yet to confirm.

Hopefully will be there on Saturday.
For anyone going to Bury on the Metrolink, there is engineering work on this weekend, and the line to Bury will be closed.

Please can I confirm that it is just 44871 that faces Haywood and all other engines are facing Rawtenstall?

    Thanks in advance.

Near Heywood... it’s twinned with the town of Autocorrect.

From Austin's video on another thread 34092 returned facing north, so does 2890. I assume the dinner Sunday is in the vacant slot just after 1.00 pm off Bury, I haven't scrutinised the time table but 80097 doesn't appear to have anything that day so it may be that.
Just need to know which way 52322 returned, and 30926 when it arrives (hopefully already here!).

80097 not out on Sunday due to lack of crew according to someone on the ELR Facebook page.

Looks like the diner on Sunday will be 80080 or 44871 as they are the only locos unoccupied at the times that the diner is ripping a hole in the gala timetable. Probably 80080, as its other duties finish for the day at 11.03.

Am advised that 80080 is booked loco on diner Sunday.
    80080 works Sat/Sun, whilst 80097 works Fri/Sat.
80080 standby Fri, 80097 standby Sun, sufficient crews are available.
All locos face Rawtenstall except 44871.

Despite the full dull weather, had a very enjoyable 3-4 hours at the ELR this morning/lunchtime. Even now, 56 years after I first saw one (60016), my heart still beats a little faster when a BR Green A4 appears! Look forward to returning on Sunday for a trip behind No.9 :)
