Maybe in the very early days, but by now they would both be prized possessions!

the 4 island gala would have certainly been interesting, had W31 been saved, you could have had W24, W31, W11, :) Throw in Nuclear Fred, on a short goods, and that's 4 genuine Island Engines.

    Hi Martin,

Arguably, the only locos that were genuine Isle of Wight locos were those ordered for the Isle of Wight and delivered new to the Isle of Wight, and ended their service there. That would include all the Beyer Peacock IWR 2-4-0Ts, the C & N R 2-2-2WTs, and the IWCR Black Hawthorn 4-4-0T.

    O2s and Terriers were 'overners'!

    Cheers,
    Julian

And I see that what was part of the line through Farnborough is now Invincible Road.

As one of those whom Steve mentions, who are currently in (and struggling with) Self isolation, I think I will acquaint myself with the new website.
Since Gary closed his Flickr account, news from across the Solent has been hard to come by, so many thanks for the update.

You might try the Facebook page "IWSR C&W happenings" which is updated frequently. If you appreciate carriage painting, the views of L.B.S.C.R. 4168 will intrigue you.

Absolutely nothing. He's merely wanging on as long as possible to avoid the inevitable questions about Cummings.

I don't know if it is just my phone, but from here, it sounds like David Icke was correct, and our political leaders are actually Daleks.

Its clearer on iplayer but some of the details are here, funds for extensions to Ventnor and Newport.
    https://www.google.com/amp/s/onthew...branch-lines-just-moved-on-a-step-closer/amp/
    Probably raises yet nore questions?
PS for those with Amazon Prime there is a video on the IoW railway history.
