    Your kind words are very much appreciated, it was only the diligence of a friend spotting the paths on RealTime that we were aware of this charter, very few were out besides us and I think it shows. Had we all known about a Scot with an Irish Mail headboard I’m sure half of the north-west would have turned out!

    46100 cab has been changed

    when i saw it last at St. Pancras she had a NBL cab with rounded roof edges C1960

    Although it's not an NBL loco, it's a Derby one.
    Maybe they swapped it for another loco again in the meantime...

    Pretty sure the cab roof at least is new - it has certainly been cut down to meet modern gauging requirements. Being pedantic the welded tender tank grates on me, the previous tank was riveted and whilst I haven't checked I dont think 46100 has ever run with a welded tender before (although others in the class have).

    Four of them ran with welded tenders but as you say, not 6100

    The only new part of the cab on the rebuilds was the front plate. Ref LMS Loco Profiles No 15 The Royal Scots.
