No steam that I could find with a quick Google search, but they do seem to be fond of their road trains https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/search-site?query=train

Loud pulsating music with a regular rhythmic beat? Isn't that what steam trains do?

Yes, March 21/22 and March 28/29. Both Red timetable weekends.

Edit: Strangely, the dates when the Red timetable is in operation seem to have “dropped off” the official website timetable pages.

Yes I noticed that this morning when looking at some dates in May - the VE Bank holiday on the 8th should be red but now blank. If you go to the timetables bit the red has disappeared from there to.

Looks ok to me, maybe they were in the process of updating the timetable.

Yes, I think you’re right. It’s certainly been corrected now.

  9. 'Corrected' in the sense it has been changed to replicate the daft errors in the printed version. Official website now shows Pullman dining on the 1000 MD & 1630 BL. That ain't happening. At least the website states on selected dates, unlike the printed version. Does no-one proof read this stuff?

How much longer will this business run without either a commercial manager or a commercial director in post? These are important roles, even more so given the current financial state of our Railway.

Having endured the hourly service where passengers were unable to board we have no intention of using it again. The 1/2 hourly is usually OK.

Don't forget the GWR inclusive fares from any station served by their trains.

No one in charge of commercial affairs at all? The mind boggles. We have a commercial manager and commercial director, both extremely committed volunteers as it happens.

Why has he WSR website been altered so that Latest Pictures now needs 4 mouse clicks rather than the one of previous times?
Yes I realise I could bookmark the page but I do not want to do that.

Excellent set of photos of the P W works underway. Keep them coming.

A new one on me. There’s no Commercial Manager on the current GWSR organisation chart that I can see.

Re the WSR or any other voluntary organisation, volunteers with the right skill set and experience to be effective commercial managers don’t just appear when you need them. Especially in an area of lower population than the Midlands or SE has so I have some sympathy with them given the financial constraints.

Whoops, you're right of course, I'm a few months out of date with that, brain fade. Our new commercial director is structuring things slightly differently, but there is still a structure.

Oh absolutely, I've mentioned before that we're extremely lucky to benefit from extremely committed volunteers in certain roles that, on other railways, they've had no choice but to pay staff to fill. And as you say, that is also hard for the WSR to do at the moment. But to not have someone in overall charge of or co-ordinating commercial matters does seem hard to imagine, irrespective of how you actually achieve those objectives, be it paid, voluntary, whatever, and @Barrie the Beer has highlighted why it is important to have some sort of structure to prevent things slipping through the net.

If you're referring to Steve's unofficial website wsr.org.uk the Latest Pictures are only 1 click away - just click on the photo on the home page, currently a maroon RMB.

For some reason the page size on that link has increased to the extent that the Latest Pictures link is off the bottom of the screen making me think it had disappeared.
No other websites have altered so why just the WSR?

You don't need the link! Just click on the picture - it takes you to the same place!
