Looks like the Grinstead line has been severed by a land slip, so the Bluebell is back to being cut off until March. Hope the Orange Army can do a good quick job sorting it!

I believe we are holding a Balfour Beattie tamper hostage! ;) (Also the four Bulleids that are due to visit the MHR: see that thread).

The GWSR folk may be relieved to see they aren't the only ones subject to this scourge....

Indeed, but just for absolute clarity note that this is on the Network Rail side of East Grinstead, not on the Bluebell itself. Does obviously affect us both for movements in and out, and for those passengers coming by rail.

If only you had another main line connection to the west perhaps . . . . . . . I'll get my coat on the way out :)

I see S15 No.847 is now rostered to run on set A for the remainder of the week. Probably a good idea for people to see it whilst possible as it is seemingly likely to be withdrawn at some point this year.

Latest update "Line closed between Lingfield and East Grinstead until Monday 30 March " although I doubt this the permanent solution which is detailed here https://www.networkrail.co.uk/stories/east-grinstead-landslip.

No services between Hurst Green and Lingfield this evening due to Bus crash see https://www.uknip.co.uk/2020/02/24/breaking/lingfield-railway-station-closed-after-double-bus-crash/
Hopefully no one seriously injured, I arrived at the station shortly after it happend.

Pass - maybe better to ask the question on the Mid Hants thread? LThough there is a comment there that they are expecting five low loader movements, but presumably only four of those can be coming from the Bluebell.

It was. That's an awfully long way to lug a bog standard mk1, though. Something special about it?

Probably something to do with one of the K&ESR Directors also being part of the WSRA and is living in a station house along the WSR!!
