In the video you can see 09 shuts off before the crossing and the crew seemed to be waving at something other than the chap under the bridge which is later on in the video.

As of yesterday afternoon no decision had been made as to where No.9 goes next. That said it is unlikely to remain at York for too long.

Rubbish. Why would 09 shut off then ! Answer me that one without a silly John Cameron excuse of waving a rag .

My fiancee's video of 60009 putting in a stunning performance yesterday lunch time is now below.

If this is the last time we see 60009 on the main line I'd just like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to John Cameron and every support crew member and tour promoter who've brought No.9 to us over the years. I've had some truly wonderful times seeing and travelling behind UoSA and it's very sad to see her career come to a close, but at least we were able to experience it,and will still have No.7 to enjoy!

    Thanks.

Yes. He gave me a nice wave when he spotted me with my sound gear near St. Albans. Returned the compliment.

Always find it weird that folk seem to see things rather than what actually happened on video on NP . Must be a virus.

Not sure I'm getting your point. Mr Cameron definitely gave me a wave as 60009 passed Sandridgebury on Saturday morning and I waved back and no I wasn't trackside, I was in a field.
Wasn't at the location where the video in question was filmed so can't possibly comment on what occurred.

A couple of shots from this run, leaving Melton Mowbray and then at Colton Junction where the RTC headboard had disappeared.

Probably removed before she got under the wires as once under them I understand it's not allowed.

An RTC headboard was in evidence from York to at least Peterborough on 15 February, so presumably they only had the one, and it would have saved the walk back from the prep bay.

Ralph are referring to the headboard removal as it was there under the MML wires early in the day and here is a shot at York on Feb 15 where it was OK to be there.
Maybe it was removed during the last water stop for a different reason and it was never put it back.

I was wondering if it was removed whilst not under the wires as it wouldn't have been convenient to remove it at York before being taken back to wherever it's kept ready for the next time it was required.
