Which 'header' would bank transfers come under? £5000 was 'transferred to the plc' on May 13th yet I cannot for the life of me find it showing on subsequent updates?

I think the answer is that they don't want to fall out with anyone, nor do they think that it is a good idea to do so, but they can't help it if other people will insist in falling out with them. If only everyone else could just accept that the current path of the WSR is the best path, that there have been no failures of management or anything else, and they could just leave the WSR to get on with dealing with the crisis as the WSR feels best, whilst, in the words of the PM, "moving on" from the eviction letter and everything in the past, then everything would be fine.

Although one of my retired colleagues informed of this today
"Sounds like the GMB and Unite unions are refusing to talk and therefore at the end of the 45 day consultation BA can do what they want!!"
Not sure that is the brightest move going.

That of course depends on whether there’s anything much they can do for their members in the consultation, or if it’s been set up such that BA will end up implementing the previously set plans anyway. Judging by what I’ve seen in the press, I suspect abstentionism has won out over allowing themselves to be used as justifying the BA plans.

  5. I'm relieved to read the ORR's statement confirming that neither of our WSR Real Ale Festivals held at Washford were subject of any complaint to them.

It seems the complaint in question related to the distraction of a safety-critical member of WSR staff during the 2018 diesel gala. Surely not the infamous 'it's behind you' snapshot taken inside BA signal box on 10th June 2018. I was aboard the Peak-hauled train in the background but that was the only tentative connection to the ale festival taking place further up the line!

It appears that I have been 'sanctioned' for some reason and apologise if any offence has been taken.

Yes indeed, so its been confirmed by the ORR that as you say the Beer Festival and the S&DRT were not the issue, and no issues were reported to the ORR about either.

Further, they confirm ROGs don't apply to the Washford site and nothing unsafe has happened at Washford as far as they are concerned. However as you point out the ORR did say the issue was in fact a WSR (PLC) member of operating staff not connected with Washford during the gala.

So as the written claims put into the public domain about the S&D by the PLC are now clearly shall we say (in case I offend) 'mis-remembered' does that mean that because it was the PLC not the S&D, should we evict the PLC from the WSR ? I of course say that in some jest, again in case I offend some clearly unhappy people currently.

  8. The ORR state that concerns raised were followed up and closed. Until the plc raised those concerns again that is.

Clearly someone is having problems with their memory of things, you don't need to evict the PLC, but you do need to get people on the board to put a stop to this madness, identify what the true story is, and then act to remedy it.

    Are there two WSR's?
It does seem that many comments/reminiscences seem to refer to different events. :D

Maybe the WSR is a bit like China/Hong Kong - one railway, many different views :)

  12. Perhaps there is a problem with board continuity. Some of the events referred to took place (or didn't take place!) before any of the current board members were appointed.

I'm sure there is a problem with continuity. Successive Boards continuously seem to be on an ego trip at the expense of the railway as a whole.

There's only one answer here and that is for a fresh start with a fresh team and a fresh structure built around a community interest group operating as a single charity. If only such a recommendation were to come from someone such as the HRA. For it to work, a few of the usual suspects would need to be prevented from tinkering at the edges. Alas if that were to happen then an ego or three would get in the way.

In the meantime, I wonder what terminological inexactitude will appear next under the guise of an official statement ?

Perhaps the military establishment down the road from BL will be on their way to restore order, at JJP's request?

are we going round in circles again ? , the answer is clear, except the people who could do something about it won't because they are part of the problem, and are not the solution, the solution requires every last one of them to stand aside . but I suspect they would rather see the railway go under, than admit they are at fault. so all anyone can do is wait for the whole thing to come crashing down, when most likily because the PLC has ran the railway into the buffers, and can't find a way out, and hope something can be salvaged from the wreckage.

Sounds very much like the "graffiti" posted on Aston University in 1970 - The urge to destroy is a creative one. Perhaps those who agree are looking for the legendary phoenix to rise from the ashes !

I hope not for the sake of those who value this thread and are waiting patiently for something to start running on WSR tracks again. The high seasons for tourists is almost here.

I assume you are jesting. JJP made it clear in his vlog that he didn't expect the railway to be operating before next March at the earliest. I have to agree with him on this point. So in terms of this thread on operations, not too sure what more can be said thats relevant?
