Reports say pilot unharmed - looks like an undercarriage issue on landing to me (indeed, report in second link says it collapsed on landing). At least they have folks like ARCo at Duxford who could sort it if necessary.

"Hawker Hurricane V7497 damage at Duxford yesterday on grass landing. Duxford Fire crews on the scene immediately, to rescue the pilot and ensure everything made safe. I have read that the pilot is unharmed, certainly good news indeed."

To quote Ian Mcshane and one of the Edward [?] Fox in the Battle of Britain...." They can teach Monkeys to fly better than that!"

Seriously though, thankfully no one has been hurt/killed and the damage appears to be repairable. Which was one of the more favourable things with a Hurricane over the Spitfire. Which in turn baffled the blazes out of the Germans as it "appeared" that the RAF had an endless supply of planes...............

No doubt, but I've seen a wartime dessert photo of 'Chippy' Gransden repairing a Spitfire with a chair leg.

I have to say that I don't think that is an appropriate remark. I am sure it is meant to be light-hearted, but we do not know the cause of the incident. It is quite likely to be a technical problem with the aircraft, not pilot error. Will you please apologise, and withdraw your comment?

In reply No on both counts. As it has taken you the thick end of nearly a month to object..........
