But there were no Merchant Navies left in Spamcan form: hence the project to unrebuild one.

There is an interesting update from the SLL. One of their supporters has offered to match fund any share in SLL bought up to August 31st - provided 40 shares are bought in total. So, as these shares can be loco specific, it is a effectively the case of "Buy one (for 35025....other locomotives are available!) and get another one free.
So over to you Brocklebank and MN supporters.

34070, 34072 & 34092 have all visited NYMR. 34072 was there for several months in 1991 or something like that.

All three of them found that there are no hills on NYMR....

The latest SLL update says that work is continuing on the chassis of '25 with the brake gear being removed, refurbished and put into store. They have also been delighted to discover more useful parts and castings in the storage container. They have regular weekend working parties at the Sellinge site.

Will 35025 be moving to SLLs new south east base I wonder?

Ever the optimist I see - this Bulleid runs on the mainline and was probably in worse condition when it left the scrapyard - just saying :)

at WSR, By looks of things, If it was still there now, would the owner also be called a cuckoo , bearing in mind, he could probably buy every share in the plc, And decide to base his non GWR engines there just to wind up the purists,

I think you missed my subtle humour, Manston has already done nearly 10 years albeit for a slight coming together with 80104
