The dates beyond this weekend are there, and do show up, but there is a technical hitch with the website. An update should be happening for tomorrow.

I just checked the website and dates are showing for the rest of August....a blue engine just passed the bottom of my garden and I can hear hissing and sizzling noises from Alresford station, so I guess trains are runiing today!

Has the loco roster gone from the website? The link on the home page just goes to the stock list now.

Another Saturday, another gahering of like minded 'nutters'! :)

Well, what would you do on a baking hot Saturday?..... do the sensible thing & stay at home?..... means having to put up with the wife! Head for the coast & sit in a traffic jam judt to try & find a grain of sand to sit on, let alone a parking space?....... Nope - a day with the Troublesome trucks was the best option!

On the Gunpowder Van, more degraded steel was replaced - we think we got it all now....... The south side cross memebers were brought up to 1st undercoat.

The underside of the Maroon CCT is now in black gloss, except for a few hard to get to bits.......

*963The cosmetic job on the two plank continues apace.

Two of us also took off to the Meon to carry on figuring out what we're up against with the two Sealions....... we think we have the measure of them now..... thanks to a portable sitelight - every time we thought we'd found all the brake likage, we found even more, usually in rather hard to get at places!!!

Still, after several hours knocking seven bells out of them, 7 out of 8 brakes are free! :) :) :)

LaterI nipped down to Ropley to see what was what....... 506 was being slowly bought to life with a warming fire, whilst the ULS lads were to be found inside the shed hot riviting on Can Pac's tender frame - a fascinating process to watch.

It was also nice to see folks on the train exploring all Ropley has to offer.

A few pics of the days goings on......

For anyone wanting a preview of the Mid Hant's current operations:
Filmed last Wednesday on their Blue timetable (also includes the Bluebell's 60th Anniversary celebrations)

I should note that since I went out to film this, apparently the Class 50 was running in place of Thomas as on the day I was out filming he started a couple of small lineside fires apparently, so it may now only be 1 steam 1 diesel, but I'm not sure.

50027 substituted for a few hours on Saturday that's all.

30925 and 30506 this week as both tanks are due a washout.

That would explain the presence of a Lion at the bottom of my garden when I got back from work
