Railway Herald showing 46100 for Wed 26th, I asked question before, but will this be 46100’s first preservation run over the S&C? Yes, was the previous answer. Unless I’ve missed something how is it the Saphos website has a “photo” of 46100 complete with Fellsman headboard heading south under the bridge at Angerholme?

Railway Herald was showing 46100 for last week's run, right until the time it ran wih Britannia behind it. Let's hope that this time there are no last minute switches. Has Britannia recovered from last weeks ailment yet? Heard nothing since Wednesday.

After yesterday’s torrential rain this morning was dry when I left home. As I parked on Chapel lane at Hoghton steady rain began to fall. I was the only person on the overbridge. 46100 could be heard approaching as she whistled for the several crossings lower down the bank. About 5L she arrived, working steadily towards the nearby summit; my wave was acknowledged by the driver. (Always brings a smile - still a kid at heart.) No sanders and the diesel was merely ticking over. Once beyond the summit the exhaust beat quickened with the exhaust hanging in the trees. It’s stopped raining now.

46100 (or is it 46152?) makes it's preservation era debut on the S&C with the Fellsman on 26.08.20. It's entirely possible that this will have been it's first ever run across the line as the sheds it was allocated to in those far off steam days wouldn't normally have been associated with the former Midland line. (Cue, someone to produce a photograph to dispel that theory)! Top photo shows the northbound leg at Lazonby whilst the bottom image shows the return working in slightly better light.

Agree. The last clip takes an unusual angle and is lovely.
