    Does anyone have any photos of these sorts of boards please? The sort that might show loco number, status, dates certain exams are due, running dates etc.? Preferably GWR but any will do, just looking for inspiration.

    The same board in 2014. It looks like it's multi-layered, not sure why.

    The board you can see has been repainted for the preservation era, which is why you have 'away on hire' etc. The boards behind it have the original layout.

    Here is an example of another GWR type in the engine house at Highley. Not the best photo I'm afraid, but I've uploaded a large size so hopefully you can pull out all the details.
