    Lovely.

The land movement has been covered fairly extensively in the Branch Lines e-newsletters over several months (do subscribe, it's free!). At Sterns and Alveley woods there's been movement following the February flooding. Sterns has been addressed by £120k of drainage works paid for by the Charitable Trust, and the situation is being monitored. At Alveley woods there's a scheme planned of drainage and soil nailing, for which negotiations with the adjoining landowner are underway.

Falling Sands phase 2 work (pointing, workers on ropes) continues.

Further capital works (including preventative maintenance at Borle and Wribbenhall viaducts) are on hold due to cash management/Covid-19

The SVR has had a few Mk 3s for staff accommodation for a while but these new ones are owned by Locomotive Services Limited and are being stored on the SVR under contract until LSL need them at Crewe, earning the SVR some useful revenue. They're usually stored outside the carriage shed at Kidderminster but were recently temporarily moved to Arley to allow a rake of Rudd engineers' wagons access to the pit for exams.

FYI, I think services are currently advertised until 29th September, I'm not sure the SVR has yet made any announcement about dates after that for public trains, except special events.

It was great to back at the line this weekend for the first time this year. Things are very different, I cannot remember the last time I visited and not been on Bewdley station (off limits even to permit holders) and not sitting and having a cuppa at H'Loade/Arley/Highley between trains. However, the trains were fairly busy especially on Friday with the sold out Class 50 mini tour.

The weather was kinder on the Saturday and 1501 doubleheading with 7714 under test after its recent repair. Taw valley was moving very nicely as well.

One small point: Bewdley isn't off-limits to train passengers, but visitors have to arrive by train (having started their day at either Kidderminster or Bridgnorth) and not all services stop at Bewdley. The same applies to Highley. Hampton Loade and Arley are currently closed to visitors.

Lovely pictures. Thanks for sharing. Has Taw Valley been turned? I presume your picture was an aerial shot taken on the climb from Bewdley up to the tunnel? The SVR Website says she is facing Bridgnorth so I'm a bit confused.

34027 was definitely facing Kidderminster last weekend. I've left a note on the SVR-Online forum so hopefully the website will be updated.

Thank you and yes the shot was at Sandy Lane and certainly two weeks ago facing south, I don't believe she has been turned.

Quick question, we are visiting this weekend watching tomorrow and travelling on the explorer on Sunday. Loco rota shows 34027 swapping to 2857 tomorrow, is that likely to happen at Bridgnorth after the first arrival of tomorrows explorer and also does 34027 still face Kidderminster website still says Bridgnorth. Thanks!
