I suggest you ring the office. I think it was in the RTC document posted for the CME by 1020shireman that it said dining would be a plated service not the silver service as before. So that may lead to a different menu option.

Great footage Steve. That's one of the best run's over Dandrymire I've seen since the water stops at Garsdale finished. Some good Stanier hooter action for Mike Middleton too.

He also said he would send the virus packing by the end of June. Didn’t say which June though

Thanks for the reply- I’ve taken the plunge and booked myself on The Waverley on 6th September. The lady from RTC was also very helpful on the phone.

Is there a reason all tours with 6233 have now been changed to Steam TBA on Railway Herald? Have WCR lost the licence to run the loco?

Some time back it was stated the loco was moving to be under the LSL umbrella, although I have not seen it reported elsewhere.

Its been also said on Vintage trains newsletter Tyseley vintage trains will use 6233 on some of their 2021 tours maybe the shakesperes but what class 8,s has W.C.R.C./R.T.C still got to roster on their trains 6201 35018 and 60163 Or would 6233 be shared between L.S.L. Saphos and R.T.C. tours and still remain under ownership and maintenance of the princess royal trust at west sheds midland railway Butterley?

Maybe the saphos move is so that 6233 could operate more further north? Most runs with 6233 in the last 2 years have been in the south and they've maybe decided on a change of strategy or like with N0 7 been offered better operating hours throughout the day as well as the chance to operate on Shap and Ais Gill regularly. If WCRC/RTC were to lose 6233 completely then thank god for WCRC/RTC now being able to call on 60163 otherwise there would be almost no class 8 locos with WCRC/RTC.

Comment in 6233 Patrons Newsletter is that they cannot ensure social distancing in the support coach for the support crew if they are away from home several days at a time.

Again, Sam, you have little or no idea what is correct, as I do not believe you are directly involved with any main line locomotive organisation or operating company. Please think before you post and stop winding up yourself and others on the forum, by claiming unsubstantiated rumour as fact.

Enjoy your hobby but don't get subsumed by it.

They have 86401, don't think it's been under its own power since they acquired it
