You have had 3 days to respond, Ian, and I quite accept that my posts might have been overlooked.

You are all very busy in the WSSRT at the moment doing a backlog of membership applications and sorting out a new date for your AGM?

None of which has applied to the SDRT as their AGM went ahead despite lots of new membership applications.

How lovely. Still waiting for that AGM date. Still ten candidates.

Let me just state that I do have a high regard for Ian Coleby, and I know he has a deep regard for the old S&D, and for the SDRT.

Obviously, he might feel himself compromised currently.

It won't end until you weed the trouble makers out.

    First they blamed the ex6.

    The fighting continued.

    Then they blamed the GM.

    Same story.

Now they have a problem with his replacement.

It's hard to recover when you have a number of troublemakers who have been causing issues for years, Sawing the branch you are standing on.

Thats what causes more harm then good.

If they have such a problem with the railway, yet can't walk away. Someones gonna have to do it for them.

7828 is next in the queue I read.
Does that mean the WSRA see no change in the way of them doing things if the merger with the WSSRT and the new suggested WSR fomula goes ahead?

If you have been following our previous postings, you will know that all ten of us have shown our faces. We are united in our objectives and we speak as one. However, it is clearly not possible for all ten of us to operate this Nat Pres account.

Interesting theory. You've seen a common factor and have decided that's the problem. If you don't mind me saying so, that's rather *too* "simple". It seems to me more likely that the same people are involved each time because they care deeply enough about their railway to do something about it. Are you saying that it wasn't the X6 at fault, but the reform group? And how do you defend the actions that the current board have taken with respect to the S&D Trust, kicking out members without due process, swearing at ex-WSRA chairman, plus countless other things I've forgotten?

I just think it incredibly sad that after all the SDRT has done after 44 years it has been treated so badly and no firm statement from either the WSSRT or WSRA has objected to the Notice to Quit on which time is rapidly running out, or the intended breach of the agreement over S&D loco '88'.

The WSR plc board certainly well used very hard and very frequently '88' last year. At the same time as the WSR plc board and their accountants were planning a massive reduction in the accounts for it's provision.

That was at the very least duplicitous I suggest.

    Ah I missed that one!
I have never seen such an arrangement documented and I can't imagine how that would work. I don't doubt that executors approach the WSR about legacy shares, but I don't know what the plc advise.
As for your second point, the agreement between the plc and the WSSRT is just that and I do not believe is a lease per se. I believe that the agreement was properly signed off and i have seen no suggestion to the contrary.

Yes, Ian, but what of my other post quoted back to you? Was it a 50 year lease with the SDRT in 2018? It was stated as such at the time!

How can you possibly state this evening that "per se" the 2017 WSSRT 50 year lease wasn't a lease? Or have I misunderstood you?

If you repeat something often enough, people begin to believe it. That doesn't make it true, though.
Who is the GM that "they" blamed? I don't remember much mention of them on here.
Also who is their replacement, who similarly hasn't merited much of a mention?

If you're gonna make an omelette, you've got to crack a few eggs.

JJP has done more for the railway in a short time then any of the trojan horse ever has.

Sooner they stop boring holes into his back sooner, peace and harmony will return.

To be fair, his name is viewable in his profile. It seems familiar on here, but I'm quite likely mistaken.

What particular omelette are we making though? What purpose did kicking out the S&D T serve? I'd dearly love to see a credible argument, but thus far, nothing.

Maybe, but surely you can't dismiss the notable contributions that some of the others have made too?

I don't really see what the problem is, we all know who they are and what they stand for.

An unsurprising lack of self-awareness there.

Just a minute, you can't operate at my level because you're scared of heights. That means you think you have to go up to get to my level, up quite a long way, which means you think that your level is quite a long way below mine. I'm not saying that's the case, but it's quite a surprising claim from someone who is trying to be offensive.

Isn't 'Bristolian' a type of bus?

    Not very subtle!
