I’m sure for the sake of the support crew the start from you part of the world will be in daylight. The journey down is taking 14 hours!

You never know. A couple of visiting loco's in the distant past (70000 and 60163 IIRC) have left the MHR in the early hours of the morning.

Ex-LMS Jubilee class 4-6-0 No. 45596 Bahamas passing through Hartford some 15 minutes early today during a positioning move from the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway to the Mid Hants Railway.

Many thanks to the Railcam guy who turned the Crewe north camera round so we could see Bahamas coming across to get to platform 12, presumable for water.

I think the Bash Mash voted Bahamas and Clan Line as the two best presented locos on the mainline. Maybe they will be seen together one day.

I’m only there for a couple of days. More than two return peak hour trips round the M25 is too much to bear

Err no! Seriously I have an interest in both camps but I think 35028 gets it by a whisker

In pouring rain Bahamas rolls down the WCML at Heamies Farm, Norton Bridge, towards adverse signals at Little Bridgeford junction where a Voyager was coming off the Stoke line in front of it. Typically within a few minutes of its passing the sun reappeared. IMG_0161.JPG

45596 just rolled over the bridge along Boxalls Lane in Aldershot a few minutes down. Saw the glow of the fire in the dark and heard the distinctive sound of the valve gear as she coasted down hill. First steam working I have seen since March. I hope everything goes well for the Gala.

Lovely shots and footage from all concerned. Many thanks in view of the inclement conditions.

Bahamas running around its support coach in Guildford last night. Checkout @5:50 for a sweet little coupling.
