It is just as bad further down the line where the argument is whether to put jam or cream on the scone first....

That is nothing compared to the cream scone fracas, it actually came to scones being thrown, cream after jam, vs cream , then jam, edit: beaten to it :)

You forgot the first part of that argument - do you pronounce it scon or scone!

Also, should the cider be cloudy or clear.....

Well, we in Devon have always done it the correct way. :D

Regarding who know what and when they knew it ......
I suggest a large amount of information concerning the WSR and its personalities is easily found as Post 33242, by Irregulartrainman in his initial post on NP confirms. He and his father read up about this saga before posting and has succinctly described the situation as they see it. Confirmation of 29 likes is a good confirmation of this.

So who in particular in your view should not be in positions of influence in the WSR? To say you have a problem but not say what or with whom the problem is a bit arsey versey. But hey ho, I guess those voting in the upcoming AGMs will make their own minds up.

There is often mention of bullying here by the PLC. It could appear that you are following suit.
My post 33272 should give a clue about my intentions.

I'm really not trying to bully you, so I am sorry if it seems that way. Not my intention at all. You have an opinion, where the reader has to draw an inference which I can't infer because frankly it could be anyone or everyone involved with the WSR. As I am interested in your views and I am trying to find out in what is in the ellipses and why. If not names then what actions in the past do you really object about for example? I think you are saying rocks ahead but I am unsure which rocks or where they are.

More importantly - what is the correct order for filling a scone?

Filling a scone!!!! You get a double helping by opening and having jam and cream on both halves....
How this relates to the WSR structure is anyone's guess..

    Simple really.....

Consider each half to represent a charitable part of a well-known railway.
There are those would put the two halves together to make one whole charity.
There are those who think that you can keep the two halves and use whatever cream and jam are left-over to somehow make a complete new scone.
    Others simply want cake......

    Doing what's best for business.
Hopefully, they remembered the first rule of business, Before taking this step.

    " Don't trust anyone"

I wholeheartedly agree with them taking this step.

Hardly a way to run a largely volunteer staffed railway funded by members of the public though is it?

Given recent form on this thread, can I point out that the esrstwhile locomotive number 1666 held the important distinction of being the last surviving LCDR loco when it was eventually scrapped in 1955. :)

Yes, but there is a photo of GWR loco 1666 withdrawn at Swindon in 1964 on eb*y. Great Western lasts longer?

Is that the date that the trouble started on the WSR?

@Sidmouth it would also appear that some have taken up your idea and suffered the consequences, as it's been a full 18 hours since the last post on this thread. Is this a record?
