I assume the smokebox is not being retained...

Good to see this suddenly look like it's making progress (clearly it has been in below the waterline activities).

BTW, what is the boiler behind it? which way round is it? it seems to have a dome-type fitting on top of what looks like the smokebox?

The boiler out of shot belongs to MSC no 70. Which is currently under major overhaul

Brilliant! The chassis looks a lot better for basically being down more or less to its components, and with the smokebox remnants now gone. Cleaning up and overhaul of the bottom half should now be a lot more accessible at least. Well done!

Great video! Even the back of me makes an appearance in it!

Credit to all involved, it's great to see GSN moving on so well especially due to a challenging year at the S&CR. The steam dept at the S&CR are keen to help out -let's hope our collaborative relationship continues for many years to come!

    Well done!
I (and I'm sure many others) always enjoy seeing skilled workers doing their jobs, whether it is crane operators, heavy haulage drivers, welders or whatever.

I'll definitely be visiting your online store, your pint glasses look nice! I'll be Christmas shopping for a retired colleague who hails from Hampshire originally, and remembers seeing GSN in service.

    Thanks Richard

Hopefully we'll have a few more new items on the store by then.

The "Bogie and Trailing Truck wheelset" appeal has raised over £400 in less 24 hours. Thanks for everyone's support if anyone would like to contribute you can do us on our justgiving page which would greatly appreciated.

Are you planning to do any in N? The Medway Queen PS have done theirs in both OO and N in the past, and I would be up for a couple in N to increase the length of my special commissions goods train.
