As an aside, the driver in the film 'Lets go to Birmingham' sadly lost his life in an accident at Knowle and Dorridge in 1963.

Fantastic finish on it, but I don't really think it flatters the sharp lines of the HST power car. It would have probably looked better on a buffered set, and I speak as someone who generally prefers my HSTs unbuffered. The coaches look terrific though.

All that said, as a business proposition it makes total sense. LSL/Saphos/whichever bit of the Hosking operation it is definitely have to be commended for their initiative in developing new rail tour options.

 

Will the test runs get cancelled? Cause it's 14th November debut won't be happening now.

 

I know RH have good reliability. But something in me said why would they use the BP set for training.

The shorter set seen last week running to Chester (43059+058) is out today.
