Future of vintage carriages at long marston?

According to a report from the VoBR they are in touch with two groups from the Long Marston (former MOD site), who want to find a new home for their vehicles. https://vobrct.blogspot.com/2018/03/report-of-march-2018-vobr-trust-board.html?spref=fb
These are the two concerning vehicles:

• GWR 4777 Collett bow-ended Corridor Third built
• BR W55025 Class 121 DMBS (later Departmental 'Bubble Car') built 1962

Are there any news concerning the planned accomodation of these two vehicles of interest?

Besides the two named choaches, there are a handfull carriages owned by the Avon Valley Railway according to vintage carriage trust Website.

• BR 3746 Mk 1 Tourist Second Open built 1953
• BR 3749 Mk 1 Tourist Second Open built 1953
• BR 34531 Mk 1 Brake Corridor Second built 1955
• BR 14031 Mk 2 Brake Corridor First built 1966
• BR 25735 Mk 1 Corridor Second built 1961

I've heard that the AVR tried to sell these carriages of high demand. Does anyone have news what'll be their fate? I am sceptical about the AVR's ability to restore these vehicles. The best solution would be a sale of these to interested groups.

I believe the bubble car is fairly certain for VoBR, no idea about the rest.

 

The Class 121 needn't be on your concerned list. It has lots of sisters elsewhere and '025 was in a very stripped state, it's quite surprising it was saved in the first place.

Just noticed this GWR Collett bow-ended TK number 4777, says the photo was taken in July 2020.

Anybody know much about the planned use of this carriage once restored?

 

Is the Collett being restored as a runner? Perhaps the WSRST could take it under its wing to replace one of its poorer carriages?

 

I rather suspect that would depend on who owns it!

 

The guy who owns/restores it has in the past at least been involved with the GWSR. He also restored the vintage looking building by the water tower at Toddington station. I don't know him but I know someone who does. I can imagine he may want to keep it where it is, at least until it is finished.

 

He still very much is.
