Oh of course. I didn't realise 34081 was air fitted now

 

It's not, it's just got pipes and a brake control valve in the cab.

 

As 5944 said, she isn’t fully air fitted but has the necessary brake control gear to work an air braked train. The air is supplied by the Class 14 at the other end. She’s carried the control gear since 1998.

Presuming they are the same as previous weekend, depart times from Wansford were advertised as: 10, 11:50, 1:40, 3:30

Will Peterborough going into Tier 3 from 00:01 on Saturday affect running of the Santas?

 

according to their facebook no they won't be affected. Since the only station in use is Wansford which is not actually in Peterborough and is in a teir 2 area they are currently saying they can still operate them. Any changes I'm sure they'll update on facebook. hopefully this has been helpful.

I wonder how they’ll enforce that? If people choose to ignore the advice, will they be turned away at the ticket barrier?

 

More to the point, how many people will have seen it before travelling to Wansford?

 

They sent the same message out as an email to everyone who had booked online I believe. We certainly got it. Not sure how enforceable it is, but the pub we were booked in for a meal afterwards phoned up to say our booking was cancelled, as we're in tier 3 and they're in tier 2. Oh well!
