Oddly, Nene Valley Railway don't seem to be on the list, yet they reported this morning they'd received £479,765 from the fund.

Yes, and the NYMR are also reporting £587k - I'm wondering if there are different schemes as the one above only amounts to £44m and it seems that there is £300m in the latest round.

Pleased to see that this round of grants has included some of the smaller lines in my neck of the woods - Avon Valley, Dean Forest & East Somerset. I don't think they got anything last year.

But still nothing for the Swindon & Cricklade?

So what would we expect these grants to be spent on, and perhaps more importantly not spent on?

If you can’t think of anything to spend grant monies on you’re not heritage railway management material.;)

I see there's a third round of Culture Recovery fund. "Almost £220 million will be available for both new organisations who are at imminent risk of failure and existing recipients of CRF grants. Funding will be available to boost those who have received support already"

Apparently it covers those that got phase I and/or phase II

(Moving this from the SVR thread):

I wonder how many applied for that round, especially amongst railways that had been successful in the previous round? I had a feeling (am open to correction) that restrictions were quite strict in terms of the threat the organisation saw itself under, and also success in previous rounds.

The current round of applications (open now) has as a stipulation

"Cultural organisations that are properly constituted with a governing document and are able to demonstrate, via cashflow forecast, they are at risk of ceasing to trade viably within 12 weeks of the point of application. "
So for this latest round, it is quite a big call to apply given what it says about your financial viability.

Not a railway but perhaps of interest, the Great Dorset Steam Fair has received £156,000.
