As a young student I worked as a conductor for about 8 months for Eastern National. We youngsters always shortened the strap on our Setrights to minimum length and wore them over one shoulder. Easy for the conductor but a possible H&S hazard for passengers. On quiet runs the Setright was often lodged behind the handrail by the front doors (on a Bristol Lodekka).

Have a careful listen at 2.16 on that video and then look at all the dust between tender and diesel as it pulls away.

Is that evidence of the problem?

What’s with the corridor connection being open on the last coach? Is it some sort of balcony car?

Not sure about your comment as surely being that close beyond the normal yellow line ( obviously not seen on this line )with a small child to her left makes her safe as anything can happen but it’s alright as no trespassing happened ;)

That appears to be another instance of "one law for them, another law for us".
Edit: Post #114 provides clarification. I am reassured.

Will 45231 be out of service for a bit soon then awaiting its driving wheel tyres in need of skimming on a wheel lathe at a guess?

It may need to have new tyres depending on the extent of the damage

I’m not sure about that, it does look like some sort of conversion’s been done to it, looks like there’s a gate or something there? And there’s windows down one side but not the other.
Enclosed are the screen grabs I got from the video 677D50E3-351A-4250-AFF9-A9D5287402AA.png 3BE374C1-6D84-4FA3-9BC4-77D5739878E8.png

I think some folk are being rather picky on here. There would be a big fuss were a vehicle to be on the main line that was not regulation compliant and that includes safety. So I think we will find that quite a lot of care was taken by LSL to produce a rather neat observation space on this vehicle.

There is a video on YouTube from a few years ago of 34046 arriving at a station (Salisbury? IIRC) on a rail tour and the driving wheels locked up when the brakes were applied. 34046 slides for quite some time and the crew don't seem to be aware. 34046 was withdrawn shortly after this with wheel flats and also had a lot of work carried out on the brake system. I have also witnessed 80079 sliding around the yard at Bridgnorth. It must be a little alarming for the crew sliding around the loco shed yard.

At 2:16 in the video clip, there is smoke coming from under the tender and the characteristic “hiss” of steel wheel sliding on steel rail. The loco driving wheels are definitely turning at that stage.
Maybe the damage was done later.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was Gloucester. 28 July 2016, a Steam Dreams trip. I was on that one - 34046 had to be taken off and after a longish delay, the diesel which was on the back took us on to Cardiff.
