I’m guessing we’ll see a 66 in a suitable livery at some point

 

This is such a shame if true. I know it's been done up to be a fictional loco, but the attention to detail of the original design and seeing it in motion - what an amazing prop. What a shame!

 

I am also a big fan of the Mission Impossible franchise. It gets better with each Film. MI:Fallout is an action/thriller masterpiece. The prisoner kidnap and the following car and motorbike chase around Paris is superb.
The pictures above could be spoilers or they might not be. There were a lot of scenes filmed for the last film that they didn't use.
Looking forward to the next Film as 4,5 & 6 were so good.

Looking at this my biggest question is why did a 66 have to be brought in when the NYMR have an air-braked diesel?

 

It's actually a pair of 66s involved. 37264 is having some work done at the moment, and the 25 is needed as a thunderbird for Whitby. Also, isn't the line still blocked near Beck Hole by a land slip?

 

I knew it came in low loader but that all makes sense. Thanks.

 

I do9ubt if the 66s came in by low loader so the line must be passable at the landslip - ghost trains ran over it, didn't they? Were ghost trains running to Whitby whilst the filming was happening.

 

They did arrive via low loader

 

The 66’s did indeed come by road as the slip is impassable. This also means the 25 can’t get to Grosmont, let alone Whitby and the 37 can’t get to Picketing Two locos are required for the filming plus the 25 as standbys and transport.

 

It would be interesting to see what the worksplate says...........
