Read from Cover to Cover on Saturday afternoon, thoroughly recommended for any steam fan.

Does any one from the East Lancs or Number 9 support crew please tell me if the loco is running tomorrow or not?

Even if one wouldn't have seen such a consist back in the day, with a loco like that on the front of a bunch of freight wagons? :)

(Just teasing, thinking of the people who are hard-line on creating everything exactly as it was back in the day. I usually see their point, but occasionally it gets a bit too pure. Great to see this unusual consist.)

Top shed had a regular freight job rostered for one of their A4s. It was the Kings Cross (Goods) to Niddrie (Edinburgh) fully fitted freight.

Should have been known as the ‘Scottish Goods’ as it never carried any of the ‘hard stuff ‘;).

Slightly off topic I know, but who needs an excuse to post pictures of A4s in action.
The ‘Scottish Goods’ climbing Stoke Bank. (Rev. Arthur Cawston).
    And Hadley Wood (Tom Williams).

I think it’s in traffic for the rest of this year? Very biased but I’d love one last blast at the SVR with it, had some cracking times with it there when I was younger.
