would you go as far as saying that their poor performance on this and many other areas brings the line into disrepute ?

But in equality, so are others, no? And if their opinion differs from the first, is that an 'attack' on the first?

    Back to watching, for me.

Thin-skinned, lacking determination and (earlier) WSR apologist. Not really necessary.

Address the points I make, rather than just take cheap personal (and incorrect) shots.

I suppose by bullying others out of the discussion, some will think they've "won".

Whilst calling you "thin-skinned" might be considered a personal attack, I think your reaction to any criticism of what you post on Nat Pres is sufficient evidence that it is true. Apologies, though, for calling you lacking in determination, I should have realised that you were only exhorting others to give up at the first hint of criticism, whilst nobly bearing the slings and arrows of outrageous postings yourself.
I'm not sure what you mean by a "WSR apologist", but if you don't want to be considered an apologist for the current management of the Plc, you should try and give more convincing and logical reasons for why they are not to be considered responsible for the mess the WSR currently finds itself in. Finally, as far as bullying goes, the only people who employ the "shut up and go away" style of argument are those who tend to argue in support of the Plc management. Nat Pres is not the place for people who expect their pontifications to be received with reverence and very few people expect it, however at the same time very few don't expect other posters to point out any holes there may be in either their assertions or their logic or think it bullying when they do.

In general I'd say that their continued and repeated poor performance all adds up to a point where suggestions of laziness or lack of personnel etc get overridden to the point where it now suggests gross incompetence at the highest level of management. Not so much "disrepute" but extremely disappointing and very off-putting for those who want to take a more in-depth interest in the railway. (If they won't say what's going on how do I know where my donation is going?..)

The Board do seem quite capable of bringing the railway into disrepute without any help from others. The 'cuckoo' comment , the so called 'newsletters' that followed it together with some of the statements (interference?) about the goings on regarding the past WSSRT AGM were an absolute disgrace.

I have heard rumour that some of the Rebel Alliance of the WSSRT AGM have had their ID cards removed. Difficult to find exact information. Could just be a rumour, as they say . No Smoke without fire. Happy to be corrected....some thing about bring the PLC into disrepute...... As I say, just a rumour.

Some might argue that evicting the S&DRT from Washford (on grounds which appear at times to be vague and various) has also brought the PLC into disrepute.....just saying :)

If true then it really does show how f'd up the priorities of the PLC are.

Just how many trains did the WSR run today to bring in the revenue it needs to survive?

Technically two as far as I know, without the competency certificate staff cannot work the public trains. The trains so far have been for this reason, public services begin on May 22nd

On a weekend when the MHR is running a gala, the SVR and GWSR are all up and running getting in the punters. Even the WLLR started running today.

Amazing that all those lines have got it together but not the WSR. But yeah, let's settle some scores instead.

If true, I'd love to hear someone explain how removing the cards of perceived enemies helps the WSR's financial situation.

Are you missing some 'k's there? Between £138 a month and £22,000 a month is a huge range, similarly, for £2 a month it hardly seems worth doing, let alone 40p.

Amazing that it's necessary to put much needed structural change into the long grass with the excuse of re-opening pressures, finance, ORR etc., but there is enough time and energy to pursue silly vendettas re-igniting warfare, and in all likelihood legal battles/fees. I wonder if the grant money can pay for that, or if it'll be money from the public appeal?...

Nope! Unfortunately the ad revenue calculation is a very vague procedure with lots of variables. I don't understand the full complexities of it but basically it boils down to the number of views your channel gets, the country the viewers live, genre of the videos, adblockers, cost per individual ad (what the advertisers are prepared to pay), etc, etc.

Apparently the revenue is usually in the range of $0.25 to $4.00 per 1,000 views so yes, there is a very wide range of possible earnings.

Edit Added:- Found out a bit more info. To be accepted in YouTube's partner program you need 4,000 watch hours in the past 12 months and 1000 subscribers. No wonder they all want you to "Hit that Subscribe button"! Not sure how long you actually have to watch a video to constitute a 'view' but it has been suggested to be as little as 3 seconds!

With you 100%. I find it unutterably depressing that it seems to occur to none of the belligerents in the perennial mud-slinging that while they're impressing no-one with their continual feuding, the image of the WSR suffers the indignity of being widely regarded as a basket case.

I also find it unutterably depressing this isn't the first, or even second time I've foregone my habitual purdah regarding the pointless, deeply damaging and counter-productive internecine strife. From a neutral position, it's painfully obvious there are too many who'd see the WSR go under to get their way.

The staff, the volunteers and our wider movement deserve so much better than this.

They say it takes two to make an argument, but the PLC management seems to be achieving that on its own, if the withdrawal of further ID cards is true. Perhaps the game plan is, as has been suggested, to let the PLC go bust and then buy it out. The viability of that is very dubious, but what other plausible explanation is there for the management's behaviour?

Seems odd that 4 people have had their ID cards removed for legitimately standing for becoming a Trustee.
Seems odd to spend £10k on a HR consultant inorder to removed 4 peoples ID cards.
Seems odd to then offer the 4 mediation regarding the ID card removal.

Appears to me to be punishing 4 people for so.

Again this is from another source I have no first hand knowledge.

Good to see that the PLC has money in the bank after all.

I cant imagine that this will do much for the morale of many of the more 'specialist' volunteers (Engineering/footplate/guard/signals) who travel long distances to volunteer.
