Only if it's a very big freezer, or a very small horse. ;)

I think all the eyes looking up would put one off... (yes I did look in out of morbid curiosity...)

It might look complete but still plenty of work to do before the chairs can be finally screwed in place. IMG_2571.jpg

Looking good over there guys, well done.
Just an idle thought, with diverging blades, checkrails and double chairs etc, can a tamper do its stuff over a set of points, or is that still a manual job?

Mostly manual, our little jacker packer manages quite well. We don't have a working full sized machine. That is some way in the future.

What about the cafe inside the main station?

This coach will go to Weston for light refreshments. Buffers still continues with it's range of offerings and Jenny's homemade cakes. Try them but don't blame me if you put on weight... I have very little willpower when confronted by them!

Does the new toy have a proper paint job, or those ghastly laminates?

Your new toy looks in wonderful external condition. An excellent asset for the railway. Where has it come from?
    Regards, Jamie.

That is one of the former LNER IC125 buffet cars, I wouldn't be sure whether from store at Ely after LNER stopped using them, or as more recently released from Midland Main Line duties after the former LNER HSTs short stint on duties from St Pancras.

A nice repaint into Cambrian Bronze Green and white.... I'd happily sponsor that colour scheme.

When does the rest of the HST arrive?

Shhh. That was not meant to come out so soon ;-)
The colour scheme is a hot topic, as I am sure everyone can understand.
Yes this is one of the ex LNER coaches but I don't know where it was stored.

Two for the price of one...
Returning to Oswestry after loan is another MK1 coach as we get ready to open the extension.
