Thanks for the info, never cease to surprise at 10A, I would have bet on Galberta, I thought I read last that Leander was under repair, however things get fixed.

Leander was on the Pendle Dalesman on Tuesday; Galbertea is at York for the SSEs.

45690 departed Romiley this morning in fine style, 12 coaches and no rear gunner (removed at Philips park). She looks immaculate!

What a superb performance this morning, 'Leander' is seen hauling 'The Scarborough Flyer' on the 5th June 2021. Seen climbing towards Miles Platting, Chinley, Towthorpe and Kirkham Priory on the return.

My pic of 45690 Leander on my 2nd 2021 steam tour post 3rd lockdown fresh from her general overhaul at Scarborough and could even smell the fresh paint still drying on the boiler, once again I hope all photters travellers and enthusiasts had a good day out riding behind or filming the Scarborough flyer. 20210605_154352.jpg

Nice pictures, but if I can correct your title for the last one, it is traversing the Vale of Pickering rather than the Vale of York. The former seperates the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Wolds and lies to the east (north east) of York. The latter seperates the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales and is to the north of York.

In your second last picture the river concerned is the Derwent.

    Hope this is of interest
