If wiki is to believed it has come from the South Devon.

It is part of the upcoming diesel gala 25-27th June

Someone is trying to pull everyone's leg by being a windup merchant/troll.

The only downside to having him on 'Ignore' is that the replies to non-existent posts make no sense! Very small price to pay. :D

I'm afraid @D1002 is right, someone has changed the photo to make it look as though they've extended the track, and presumably tried to show Kilmersdon at the end of it. But it's not true.

It's very nicely done though, whoever created it is pretty good with Photoshop.

Don't suppose anyone knows what is likely to be on the Alton set tomorrow please?

    Thanks

From memory, the only time I've ever been behind a 25, it was double-headed on a tour to Wales in the late 70s. So underpowered were the 25s the train crawled to Reading from Paddington, with the assumption that one or other had failed, and a 46 was whacked on the front to help drag everything around until replaced by a couple of 37s…

The vehicles are Ferry Vans hence being a little unusual. Essentially GUVs but with fewer doors on the side and no windows. They are also dual brake and dual heat.

Apology for the Dumb questions here, but what are ferry vans and is there a plan for them?

Do we have their numbers (that is the running numbers, not the Internal User ones)? All I can see is that it is rated for 120kph loaded.

Vans that went by train ferry to France and were therefore operated both sides of the Channel.
