Oh god I really was just joking. It’s not a factor in their travails and they could probably just do with a bit of encouragement right now.

I would argue that being a volunteer at one railway does not give one a free pass to criticise another and inform their volunteers of what they should be doing. You're allowed to have an opinion, but there are far gentler and more considerate ways of communicating that opinion...

In view of what's been said about CV19 compliability (is that even a cromulent term?) of 1st gen DMMUs elsewhere, specifically the Swanage's much anticipated Wareham service, any observations on the approach of the LlR please?

There was enough room for everyone to spread out, so everyone did and the were windows full open.

Which sounds, with respect, more like what I'd consider a common sense approach than an answer to my specific question!

I can't help but compare 1stGen DMMU accomodation with buses, when it comes to CV19 compliance msasures, so find myself questioning the consistency of approaches to compliance. Oh well, it's nearly Magic Monday ......

With the passenger numbers at Llangollen, it was not an issue. I do not think it is easy since it is not practical to install screens, just reduce capacity, and what is ok spacing for some it might not be for others.

We have a very nice set of suburban coaches which will be used on loco hauled services, so distancing won't be a problem.

There is more to consider than social distancing such as decontaminating carriages and other instances where the public have access to consider.

Great to hear the LR is back and running, hope there is some useful revenue.

Fully intend to visit myself in the not too distant future.

They are certainly making good progress which is pleasing. I see on Facebook that the first four Mk1s are now ready for steam to return from the 6th August which is great news too - the revival continues.

Still many question marks over extending the operation from Berwyn and running loco hauled trains so that date may change. But it is one we’re aiming for.

On the way back from Glyn yesterday we dropped off a few rails at the West of the tunnel ready to be swapped before services begin. The rails needing to be swapped are in the tunnel though.

3802 had a FTR exam today in preparation for the return of steam services on Friday next.
