I think you missed the poi
I think you missed the point. I was being sarcastic. Why do they have to leave it so late to provide a timetable? Some of us would at least like to know what time to get there.

Not happening until Friday is it? Only Monday today, give the railway a break.

Whereas I agree on the timetable note. I got to think it isn't easy. It does say on the Web page that 73082 will be on static display at Sheffield Park. On Saturday it was in view without connecting rods. Spoke to owners and they are awaiting delivery of some parts. It was always going to be touch and go. Also did hear on the same day by some staff that the S15 failed again last week with an undisclosed issue. So that's also another factor to bear in mind....

S15 is not on the loco roster, so likely to be three train service. I was expecting a four train service so agree certain factors could be delaying issue of timetable.

Some people may be more or less inclined to visit according to what measures remain in place even when none are still required by law.

Presumably the four train service means 263 and 65 are on shorter sets (Mets and SR bogies split from this weekend?)

I would expect so, hopefully the services for the coming week page will get updated shortly.

I think there is one thing you should consider. I can't speak for the original poster you replied to, but I suffer with chronic anxiety. If I am going somewhere, I want to know what is going on in advance, so that I can make sure that I can cope with it. Any railway publishing a timetable or plan, on the eve of an event, is one that won't see me as a customer for that event. This is not intended as a criticism, but to encourage everyone to think beyond themselves. I accept that railways can't publish a timetable before they know it themselves, but people may be asking for reasons that aren't obvious.

Just been looking through the Southern Region Memories book that consists of photos from the Bluebell's museum archive. One image of note is that of 80104 passing Holywell with a consist that includes 3 Pullmans, one of which is the Bluebell's own Car 54.

Any chance you could scan it and put it up?
That would be nice to see.

I suspect it is the JJ Smith photo on the Bluebell Railway Museum archive site. I can't link to it, but if you choose "single locomotive number" and then 80104, you'll find it: https://www.bluebell-railway-museum.co.uk/photographArchive.php

I should add - prints of Museum photos are available to order as either physical prints or electronic, with the money made being ploughed back into the costs of maintaining the archive. The Archive team have also been very generous with providing photos for "Bluebell Times" - though given the date of 22 April 1955 will never be a second Friday of the month, you may have to wait a while for that one to make "on this day" unless we change publication schedule!

So nice to be back at the Bluebell again after nearly two years, almost certainly longest time between visits in my lifetime! Traveled on Saturday and watched on the Sunday, very much enjoyed the whole event massive thanks to everyone involved in putting it on! Short video...

Can't wait to have see 6046, hopefully she'll be running at Giants unless she's due back before then.

I have a fondness of S160's. I remember having a trip behind and going to Pickering station to see 2253 on a holiday as a kid. I saw 6046 at Minehead out of service a few years back and probably saw 3278 at the MHR as a kid too.

Not a huge fan of the S160s personally but each to their own. Seems an odd decision, anticipating problems down at the Park with availability?
