The nice sunny weather experienced whilst driving across from work typically vanished as I drew closer to Craven Arms this evening.

Starting to drizzle nicely approaching Yorton station. Nine minutes late but going well, the preceding stopper to Crewe was 7 minutes late here and the Scot undoubtedly made up on it by Wem as it dropped to 15 minutes behind schedule by Crewe.

I experienced the same. Dull, drizzly weather was also experienced at Onibury. But the sound of the Scot in full flight made up for it

Just out of interest ( and no criticism ), but most tour trains now seem to have heads out of windows. Have the rules been eased now ????

In the photo of Braunton arriving at Sheffield that is a member of support crew. Most passengers are monitored now by stewards to ensure window hanging is not taking place. If there are failings then Ce la vie

OK, it was just an observation that on lots of the wonderful videos put on various thread recently, you can see it happening. Surely not all stewards !!

Anyone know why the route was via Manchester Victoria and up Miles Platting rather than via Piccadilly to Ashburys?
