    Hi does any one know were the Barrow slag reduction company was situated in Barrow in Furness and if any locos were broken up there

    Problem with googling it is that Slag Reduction was a process that was carried out at every iron and steelworks, and does not necessarily reflect the activities of the company of that name, although there is a reference to the company in a news article; “received a gold wrist watch to mark his 30 years with the Barrow Slag Reduction Company, based at Walney Road.” but even that may not give the location where locos were scrapped.
