The main line diesels were at Hornsey until Finsbury Park was opened in 1960. KX had 23 diesel shunters in 1958.

A few 350 bhp Diesel electric shunters possibly. Main line Diesels were serviced at Hornsey until Finsbury Park (Clarence Yard) depot was built.

Edit. Written while the above posting was being made.

We are in the endgame now!

Final edits accepted, I’m awaiting the print ready copy. Printing within a few weeks I believe.

The book is being published by Strathwood Publishing. I’m very grateful to Kevin Derrick for his support and hard work over the last six months.

Many thanks. I could not have done it without all of the discussion here - Nat Pres is mentioned, as are a few specific individuals in the book in the special thanks page.

I think it's going to shape up to be something good, and I hope I have done the material I have collated justice. Kevin has been doing an incredible job making it ready for print, and I am very pleased and proud to be working with him.

14 chapters, together with a bibliography & references section, and a set of appendices giving examples of the dataset I have worked from and a graphical analysis of the work.

Today I hold in my hands the "print ready" copy of the book. There are some minor alterations to be made to the content, mostly formatting, and to the front/back covers, but we are now "there".

Printing will be authorised within the next week and it should be ready, and on sale, by the start of November, from Strathwood Publishing Limited (link here).

The book is now being printed. The excitement is building. I am confirming a few details with the publisher and will hopefully be able to share the front and back covers later today.
