I have seen the show. :)
Besides, Black 5's are plentiful, another Super D, Compound or a Cauliflower wouldn't be too bad.
Maybe swap 3 Black 5's for one of each?
    Including crews? ;)

While you lot are all over locos from the trunk lines, someon's gotta look out for the little guys. I'd swap a CIÉ A class diesel (or two!) for a 'Bandon Tank' in a heartbeat (there really aren't enough surviving Irish steamers to spare even one) .... but what to swap for a Highland "Skye Bogie", or Cambrian '61' or '94' 4-4-0? There's a dismantled S15 which isn't going anywhere soon and several unrestored 'Bulleids' .....

    No 'big chufferitis' here! :)

Just thought I would join in the LMS part of the thread, if it's little-un's you want....

Swap the 15xx and 13xx variants for something a lot less ugly, like a 16xx or 14xx, that would be nice. :D

Why is the black 5 more difficult than the Webb thing?

But the rules say you can't get rid of something if it's the only one left...

Thems rules could do worse than including something about non proliferation of already extant classes too, before someone suggests swapping Puffing Billy for another Black 5! ;)

Didn't read that part, OK new tactic.
Swap 3 Bullied Pacifics for a SR W, SR Z and LBSC E1/R.

I beg to differ as one of Puffing Billy's sister engine also survives in the form of Wylam Dilly. Rather like the Beatty well tanks, where 2 0f the 3 that survived into the sixties, they were two third of a trio. Mind I too won't swap her for something else either. Though I'd suggest turning one or other out in the sainted/vaunted British Railways colours...................:D:p

I'm an LMS man, but I'd swap a B̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶S̶t̶a̶n̶i̶e̶r̶ GWR "Hall" for the last surviving Hughes Dreadnought, 50455.

    Richard.

My understanding was that Puffing Billy was the only one of its class because I forgot about Wylam Billy. Ellerman Lines has plenty of Sisters still extant. Plus this isn't a question of which locos can you saw in half, it's which locos can you send back in a magical time machine. Completely different! ;)

With no 'ifs and buts' in the conditions, I'm still claiming a 'gotcha', old sport! :)

Could you imagine the furore if someone suggested losing a Black5 or 9F (never mind a 'Terrier') for real? Pitchforks at dawn! :Woot:

I was thinking along the lines of at least 2 Southern Pacific's [I'll let you decide MN, BoB, WC]each, for both versions of Hush Hush [10000 the W1]
