Spotted this on the internet whilst looking for photos of LNER pigeon vans. Does anyone know the story behind this and what happened to it?

We've just done some repairs to this vehicle, including renewal of a corner pillar, removal of the hardboard ceiling and a new lighting system.
It has also had some panel renewal and several coats of 'Thomas' colour paint, although we do intend to re-paint it maroon with black ends and underframes when we can find some time.

Suddenly I feel like I should say 'howdy' to people and say nice things about the Llangollen railroad and its rides…

That site gives me the option to "Accept all" cookies or else not get through to the rest of the site. There is a No button, but that gets me nowhere.

Due to tyre turning and associated work on GWR 2-8-0 No 3802 at WCRC Carnforth taking a little longer than expected, we have another impromptu diesel weekend ahead.

Friday 29th and Saturday 30th October will see A1A Locomotives Limited's superb Class 31 No 31271 in use and then on Sunday 31st it will be our own Sulzer Type 2 Class 26 5310.

The 104/108 hybrid DMU will also be out on both Saturday and Sunday.

08195 will also work a new Llan-Berwyn Shuttle on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st, hauling the LNER pigeon van brake (discussed above in the thread), a covered, seated open wagon and a Toad brake van for guard. Shuttles will depart Llan at 10:55, 12:25, 13:40 and 15:50, offering a shorter journey and the chance to sample something a little different. Day rover tickets are valid for the shuttle or a separate shuttle-only fair is available.
Timetable and ticket details (including online booking) is now available at the railway's revamped website - https://llangollen-railway.co.uk/.

I see on Facebook that Llangollen railcars have had to form a four car set due to current demand which is great news to hear!

the latest NYMR "Moorsline" the owner of 3814state that they are still awaiting a settlement for invoices paid for work that was not carried out. If that's the case, weren't those invoices fraudulent, and couldn't the Directors be sued?

Points 3.50 and 3.51 of the Administrator’s progress report state that investigations have undertaken in relation to the Company Director’s Disqualification Act 1986 and that a report to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has been made.

Obviously there is no indication as to what was in that report and it would be inappropriate for anyone to try and guess!

One other unfortunate item is that funds that customers had paid for tickets count among the general assets, not reserved funds, so the customers just join the other creditors who get whatever they get.

And driver experiences etc, there was someone complaining on the unofficial Llangollen page about losing most of the money they had paid. They had received a letter stating the maximum they could expect back was 24p for every pound.

That rings bells from earlier on in the thread - and is very unfortunate.

Reading the report more generally, I got a sense of how Llangollen had got itself into some very deep waters, and how there are likely to be significant lessons to be learned for other railways.

I suspect that this is a standard item and would not read to much into it.

That depends if its contents can get past the rose coloured glasses and the 'we know best' attitudes of some railways...

£225k for estimated costs of administration is wince making.

Other highlights are directors are set to lose a net £110k in loans and engineering claimants are estimated to get £100k of their £450k claims.

Indeed - and one of the key points about the costs of administration is the way that the administrators have had to deal with the public due to the issue about whether funds were or were not held in trust.
