As mentioned in its own thread, the Shenfield Shark is tentatively available for disposal. I was told today that some of the old stock laid up at Willsden depot may also be available, although I don't know specifically what is there - mainly parcels coaches I think?

No idea what's at Willsden; I was only told today by the rep from DB about it all. The best bet is probably to email Stella Horrocks whose details can be found here:
    https://uk.dbcargo.com/rail-uk-en/services/disposals

It could be I was told wrong, but no harm in asking.

Judging by the livery and the diagram (AA20) I'd assume through piped.

    Hello James,
The van is thru piped. Vac fitted Toads are rather like the rocking horse product. I have been toying with the idea of retro fitting a vac system to a brake van. At the moment the Fund has a considerable back log of things to do......The Coral, The Aero........With the prospect of gift aid on the horizon....I have been deemed a Fit and Proper Person by HMRC, the future is looking a bit better. I am planning a tour of the Funds stock for 2022 so will visit the Gwili in the spring.
The Toad will require some re-timbering and overhaul in about five years time. It is helpful that some good people on The WSR have formed a wagon restoration group.

    thanks

    Nick

Network Rail are disposing of a couple of wrecks - 2 coaches (GUV, or similar) and a wagon (tube wagon?).
All are currently in the undergrowth somewhere in Bletchley (MK1 1SU is the given postcode)

Does anyone know any more detail about the wagon? This photo is all that they've given...
Looks like it might still be largely complete?

Bids to be made by 17th Jan 2022.

I seem to remember a Thread on here where the Avon Valley Railway retro Vac fitted a Toad.

We have a couple and may well contact them at a future date for advice on the subject.

The coaches at Bletchley are GUV 93723 and BG 84564 (sandite coach ADB977618), the latter is burnt out. The wagon is a Tube, not sure if BR or LMS pattern though. They're adjacent to the Bedford-Bletchley line but on the opposite side to the TMD.

someone on the Facebook group 'Vacuum, Unfitted and Early AB Wagons' found this, which looks to be the one: http://ukprsl.uk/final-results.asp?action=display&Id=48038&fbclid=IwAR0gC5acpGiW_cfHh26ZzfEK_WcQY3sPnlYmFwoP1FFN1tXsTNo9yl1631A
Does appear largely complete, but can't be sure on its condition

Looks like it would be one as a source of spares... assuming it can be extracted from all that undergrowth?

It says on the tender document that collection will have to wait until they've carried out vegetation clearance. Assume they're clearing the whole area for something? Hopefully, therefore, access will be easier.

I have a client that would be interested in this , can you point me in the right place to progress please - the condition for them is actually irrelevant and will be put to good use with relevance!

If near Bletchley, the clearance may be to do with the major works going on in that area for HS 2 and the reopening of the Bletchley - Oxford? line.

The official email says "All bids are to be sent to RedundantAssets@networkrail.co.uk by 16pm (17th January 2022)" - I assume it means 4pm.
"Payment will be upfront and arranged once confirmation of winning bid is announced."

The full tender document is attached

Mk2F TSO 72617 has appeared on Carriage Exchange (and some Facebook groups) as for sale from Wyvern Rail:
    http://www.carriage-exchange.org.uk/stock.htm

I can't remember which railway it was at, but I also spotted on one of the Facebook Carriage Groups parts of a Suburban coach (I think) for sale - bogies, buffers etc - from a vehicle being cut up, though I can't at this moment recall specifically which vehicle and where.
