Actually what was 34046 doing at Toton? If it’s a tyre turning job could it not use the wheel lathe at the Electric Depot? Or am I missing something?

Could there be confusion with 34028 Eddystone being at Toton for tyre turning maybe.

Nope Eddystone gone to Totton. Not sure whether it's still there or not but is due to be back at Swanage this week

Since the Met Office seemed to be spectacularly off target today -- two shots of 70000 (trying hard to avoid the Mk3s)
Only a haze of exhaust on Victoria Bridge but that was to be expected and fortunate given the strong wind blowing along the river.
Really think 70000 deserves a thread of it's own now

Superb video with the sound cranked up. Can't wait for some renewed haulage behind this high value machine. Thanks for sharing.

Noisy buggers them Brits, shadows the GW main line there, if only for the range of First Group liveries on display!

Any reason why she is running with a high intensity headlight on the SVR?

Thanks, kind of you. I added the colour shot just for comparison, to show how the scene changed as the 46100 got closer.
