Doubt the weight problem; if the turntable can take an A4 then surely it can handle a 'Duchess' ?

The wheelbase on a Duchess is about 2' longer than an A4.

It is a good general reminder that all 4-6-2 classes have different length.

Passed 6233 just outside Leicester, completely forgot our paths might cross. With steam hard to find in the early months, a glance of LMS maroon is rather wonderful.

A roundabout route from the Leicester area to the Birmingham area rather than via Nuneaton. Presumably all down to where paths can be found?

Not good weather to be out to get a good photo. Constant drizzle near Burton and the westerly wind was blowing smoke the wrong way P2147286.jpg

Real time suggests it has not left Bescot yet.

It doesn't appear to have arrived there yet according to RTT as it is only giving an expected arrival time for Bescot. I hope that everything is ok.

It caught a number of us out at searchlight lane jnc, north of Stafford, we were sheltering from wind and rain in car when it went passed. Nothing showing on RTT for Bescot onwards but appeared to be running under a different reporting number on open train times . Hence no photograph.

Forgot to say it was going well up the short climb to the junction and running on time to the original schedule. So presumably no problems with loco or train. Just an RTT anomaly.

A bit of drama at Old Hill with what looks like the Brit coming to a stand immediately after passing a TSR board. Looked like the brakes were applied while the regulator was still open. Here's the video that's been posted from a friend.
