So not much change out of £1000 if you take your 'significant other'. It makes Premier Dining with other promoters at around £600 seem a bargain until you compare the two. Chalk and cheese, I think.

And I see that UKRT is promoting an Exeter trip with diesel on the Pullmans for £450 a head - i.e. not a lot less than the Golden Arrow. Now THAT makes the Clan Line trip seem like a bargain!

Hopefully may make it as well, I can remember a few that have been advertised to go via Kemble both ways, but a few days before have ended up one way via Evesham.

Timings have appeared for Clan Line's first Surrey hills jaunt of the year and its a very peculiar one! Apparently engineering works between Staines and Byfleet requires a reroute.

So its taking another rare trip round the Hounslow loop similar to how it did on the Steam Dreams Santa trips last December, before heading to Wimbledon via Brixton, then heading to Woking from there. Additional stops at Woking and Guildford before pausing at Shalford as there is no Chertsey Water stop.
    Return journey seems unchanged.

That's a pretty good tour of south-west London , but why not direct from Victoria to Brixton? Just to occupy some time?

Just that. The diners need time to dine.

Railway Herald is completely devoid of any Surrey Hills trips up to August 2022 at least. I wondered if BP had withdrawn from operating the route. Glad to see there is at least one outing this year (and one which passes two sometime 'home' stations of mine - New Malden and Betchworth).

The trips are around Southern England. That leaves a lot to the imagination.

If you click the Belmond link on each tour, it says 11.45 from Victoria, 16.00 return, and Surrey Hills is mentioned in the blurb.

Talking of 35028, she was out on a test run this evening doing laps of the Willesden-Kew East Jc-Clapham Jc-Willesden circuit.

Thanks for that. RH still shows none of them - perhaps they don't regard them as 'tours' per se or there has been some sort of falling out between RH and MNLPS.

I don’t think it’s anything personal. The list just isn’t comprehensive. For instance there isn’t any West Coast Dalesman’s in the list of tours.

If you look at the RH "What's New" page the Dalesmans are there, but nothing anywhere about BP. We were spoilt in the days of the 'UKSteam' site with its accuracy and timeliness.

I imagine the 2 July trip will go from Victoria rather than Waterloo. I think the latter has become unworkable for steam now, and most, if not all, steam trips initially planned for Waterloo over the last few years have been switched to Victoria nearer the time. I would love to be proved wrong though.

Fingers crossed - it would be good to see a Bulleid out of Waterloo again!
