Thanks John, that isn't obvious from their website. Complaint to ombudsman made on behalf of the previous owner of Monarch.

Have you contacted either of 'your' DC Councillors? https://moderngov.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?bcr=1 According to the Dorset Council website they are Cllr Beryl Ezzard and Cllr Ryan Holloway.
Also, have you contacted the local press? They are generally on the look out for this sort of local story which, I suspect, would do the Council's reputation no good at all. The Bournemouth Echo Editor is Diarmuid MacDonagh Email: diarmuid.macdonagh@newsquest.co.uk
Best of luck for this situation to be sorted out once and for all.

At least one of the councillors has been included in the correspondance between the previous owner of the Monarch and council. Eventually, as usual, they stopped responding to, and then refused to involve themselves in the issue. I get the impression that parts of DC must have some very good parties paid for by a third party, this can be the only explanation for the goings on. If not I am going to apply for a job on DC so I can be paid to do nothing, although I don't think I could live with being so incompetent.

I've haven't spotted PS Monarch recently.
Has it just moved berths on the River Frome or removed to a new location altogether - or do I need to get new spectacles!

Monarch has been sold and it will not return to wareham. It has been at the boat yard since last May and as far as I am aware is still there awaiting the new owners to move it. Quite were it is going is not known with certainty.

Thanks for your response. I knew that Noel had sold it at last as per your entry #73
Just wondered if the new owner had removed it - for the rumoured conversion from steam to diesel power - but seemingly not yet.
