Like you say it’s nothing to do with Saphos or Hosking as I was filmed for the NB program ( West Coast operated ) and although it was clever in some ways it was all over the shop at times and a Stanier whistle shouldn’t sound like Flying Scotsman as it did on Shap that day as I mentioned in an earlier post :):(

Just that some individuals on here seem to have agendas. I may be wrong, but when the same programme and the same presenter covered the Northern Belle on the S & C I don’t remember much criticism, but that was a different outfit running the trip wasn’t it.

You obviously chose to ignore my post #600 or @sgthompson post #601

Sorry, did read them and didn’t ignore them. Just wasn’t quite sure what points were being made.
By the way, it was good to see Steve Thompson in the S & C episode as he filmed from below Ribblehead Viaduct.

I think you are reading too much into people's posts, the comments concern the production of the programme and has nothing at all to do with the TOC.

I've given up trying to understand some of the editing choices in such programmes, including some scenes shown as mirror images, with trains apparently running wrong line and/or going away shots reversed.

Totally true as I was actually filming Galatea in awful weather going North but they flipped the shot and blurred the engine so it looked like Lizzie ;)

Perhaps the mods might want to move or delete posts on this thread that aren’t anything to do with Saphos.

Is there any news on locomotives in use on this Wednesday's run down The Marches Line?

Appears to be all blood and custards (sorry, colour blind!!) including two mk.2s towards the rear.

Difficult to tell from railcam but appeared to be diesel free. <BJ>

A 'vintage' day on the Marches, D213 at Burgs Lane and 70000 between All Stretton and Church Stretton although quite dull and breezy.
The rear vehicle on the train is the generator coach.

This train was originally meant to be double headed. Will there be a light engine move down to Bristol at a later date for one of the other locos?

Was it not steam only on the southbound leg from Crewe with the Class 40 all the way back?

Pure speculation on my part but like you I expected two locos as was the case last year. It did make me wonder if plans had been adapted to cover the Steam Dreams trains.
