Hornby Dublo weekend as I recall, early 90s. I helped to paint suburban 43043 complete with painted-over windows and silly steps painted onto the ends for that event. I recall the N2 featured heavily.

After a bit of digging, the Rail Cleaner wagon was/is B279710. It is ex Rover Cars ltd and arrived on the GCR 10/92. It was painted black in 10/96.

 

Thanks. I believe that one’s still in traffic with the made-up number? B589163 if you feel like changing it sometime…

Yes it passed its FTR last year and was painted in 2018, but without the number change - we will correct it soon I hope!..
..meanwhile back to QW & W and I saw that the repainting to black of B278716 has reached the East side, together with sign writing.
