    "Pathed as Diesel locomotive
    Planned for 60mph max"
So Braunton and service coach returning to Crewe rather than running on the return?

Braunton is one way only to return it to Crewe is my understanding . Were it staying down south then I suspect this would have been a purely diesel tour

And so it was, don't be fooled by the lush green of the trees that field is crunchy to say the least.

Leominster-south-2022-08-10-6.jpg Leominster-south-2022-08-10-9.jpg Approaching Leominster today, heralded by the distinctive growl of D6817 under hard acceleration which drowned out the adjacent A49 traffic.
The train would have been restrained by a 175 stopper which had left Hereford just in front of it.
    Braunton, quite rightly, just drifting.

Live sound from a drone will be unusable owing to the noise of the drone itself drowning out everything else.

That is understood but misses the point. The sound of the drone would be preferable to unrealistic sound. Silence would be better still. Best of all would be dubbed-in sound from a microphone near the ground, but that could only work for a short clip, not for the long one where the drone follows the train.

That could be overcome by some careful use of the soundtrack, using the same section several times if required and perhaps slight changes in the volume at the same time.

This may answer that question, just as last week a VST movement to Crewe just after the train arrives from Bristol, looks like Britannia's going home too.

And https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:69053/2022-08-16/detailed. 37521 off to Taunton today.

Would like to see 70000 on the next Fellsman if it returning to Crewe. Think there are more English Riviera trains still on the schedule though.

Will have to see what's happened today first.

"A broken down train between Hereford and Leominster means the line towards Shrewsbury is currently blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.
    Disruption is expected until 15:30."

Last RTT entry was Moreton on Lugg at 12:10 & nothing since.
The next northbound(s) behind it are cancelled at Hereford.

Based on the RTT arrival time 10 minutes just about enough to remove the steam and the scheduled departure time.

So over 2 1/2 hours in Shrewsbury turned into 23 minutes. At least the lack of steam on return means no water stops so a 55 minute late departure has already been cancelled out.

Received the following from my brother who is on the train. Incidentally the 37 was leading with 70000 behind it.

"Am currently on Leominster platform. Was in coach B of Saphos tour which had a seized wheelset and resulting severe flat. Heard some flats in my time but this one was something else.

47 on the back currently shunting the coach out of the train - amazed there is a siding at Leominster! "

    .
For carriage enthusiasts it was 3122. Siding points failed which delayed the job even more.

From observation, used periodically for storage of Network Rail track maintenance stock. No freight or other service traffic so far as I'm aware.
