    From watching Railcam it looks like the first and last service are not very well loaded unlike the middle service so maybe it was cancelled due to low patronage
    Unless anyone knows different

    I don't know, but unlikely they would just cancel like that. The chalked up trains at Goathland didn't figure a 16.50 departure for Pickering even though the on line time table says there is one. Arriving after a hike and expecting to return to Pickering means a wait until 17.50. We couldn't ask as the station was deserted when we got there at 16.30, all gone home?
