The Epping Ongar Railway is currently unable to access Epping, so there is a shuttle bus between Epping and North Weald using vintage ex London Transport buses. On my visit earlier this year there was a Routemaster on this duty and I took a bit of video of it:

    Hope it's of interest.

When Routemasters replaced RTs on my local routes (out of AM, AW, NX, SP and TL*) back in the mid 70s, they certainly weren't regarded as "vintage'. Mind you, neither was I! :(

*for some odd reason, BX went from RT straight to DMS (and very quickly, to DMS Fleetline .... the earlier ones were crap shockingly bad).

I can remember RMs being replaced by DMS on some routes in London Borough of Havering. They were so bad that they soon reverted to RMs (Which then lasted another few years until replaced by Leyland Titans).

Now this is a rarity, I've Googled but I can't find any info on it. It might have been a one off conversion. Does anybody know anything about it?

Whatever, it's a handsome bit of kit.

Think you will find that is a load of b.....ks!
If you note the reflection on the between decks panels, it repeats in two bays, so someone has been playing with photoshop on that one...............

It's very cleverly done. Wish my Photoshop skills were that good!

"Son of Scooter". Good spot. Same's true of the reflection in the 2nd and 3rd (opening) windows on the lower deck. Know what? .... for a minute there, you could almost believe I've got the first idea how to use Photoshop!
