We have booked on the lights of the valley on December 30th, I think that's a really cool inclusion to the timetable. I hope it's well patronised!

It will be sad too see her go. I always think a pannier is the perfect loco for the gwili and they always look right at home! I have noticed the trains getting longer and longer this year it must be a proper test getting out of bronwydd or the climb just before Dan y coed. I guess gone are the days where an 0-4-0 could do the job?

    Cheers,
    Tom

    Hi Tom

1369 has proved to be very capable so yes we will be sorry to see her go. We have run 5 car sets on occasions this year, although the 5th vehicle is usually the Kitchen Car which does not carry passengers.

yes the days of the 0-4-0’s running services are past,

    Regards

    Matt

Folks, any idea when is a good time to call their booking office - have been trying all week and emailed but seemingly unable to speak to a human? We are booked on a Santa special next week and have an issue that needs resolving.

I understand it may not be manned full time, but would be good to know when it is open.

Latest edition of the blog as we look back on a busy year, and look forward to getting the site ready for Easter and the erection of the much anticipated carriage shed.

Great blog on the work at abergwili! Once abergwili car park is opened will bronwydd still have a public car park or will the space be used for operations?

A historic occasion with the last use of Bronwydd Arms as a terminus after 44 years, with all trains starting from Abergwili Junction at Easter

    regards

Had a fantastic trip on the train for the 6 of us. Train full, amazing service including at seat drinks orders. Really well organised and run! Absolutely superb!

It was good to finally get a ride on this railway, having lived in Wales for 14 years I had never made it here until today - a wrong finally righted!
All of our party enjoyed themselves, its certainly a lovely line with some great scenery. The new terminus will be a big boost to the railway no doubt.
We will certainly be back again.
