Must be a few of the Ffestiniog locos?

Have any of the fairlies apart from Livingston Thompson ever been on a low loader?

Would they also be a candidate for never having been away from home?

80079 also visited the MHR but I can't recall the year at the moment. From what I do remember it was not a very successful visit. On the two occasions I visited to travel behind her she was out of action due to failing in service. She also failed during the diesel gala as documented here:

Not quite true, 4965 took a main line railtour up to Ruddington (GCRN) many years ago. (Doesn't change the situation with regard to road movements, obviously.)

It went to the shopping centre in Swindon for a few years and I think when it visited the Nene Valley that was on a the back of a lorry.

Even a trip from Porthmadog to Blaenau would be further than Henry de Lacy II has travelled from its place of origin.

There must be a small number of engines at York that arrived by rail and have been there ever since? Cant think of a good example off the top of my head other than Evening Star?

Evening Star visited the WSR in 1989 and definitely went by low loader as someone stole the nameplates at the services on the way.

Pushing it but as it has a steam heat boiler I’ll say 40122/D200 ;)
    In all seriousness Aerolite maybe?
How about 5000? How did that get there after it’s operational stint finished at the SVR?
Actually thinking about it from the SVR’s fleet has 48773 been on a low loader? Or did it go to Bury on one in 1993?
How did 48431 and 47279 get to Keighley? 80002 hasn’t visited anywhere has it?
That one went direct from Glasgow to Keighley didn’t it?
Apologies for rambling, my mind is racing!

There can't be many loco's that have not ever been transported by low loader, any that have visited an non mainline connected heritage railway has to travel on a low loader, even some engines of the national collection travel this way, by road.

It was also at the NRM on tour at Swindon in 1990. Presumably got there by road?

I'm pretty sure 48431 has been to the East Lancs and Didcot- I can't imagine it made its way there under its own power.
